Understand your options when working with an insurance company

  • Will you take a check from the Insurance Company paying the bill?

Yes, we will. Please check with the Insurance Company involved to ensure that they will have the check to you prior to the repair being complete. Also, many Insurance Companies will also include the lien holder as a Payee. This must be endorsed by the lien holder before we can accept the check.

  • What will I need to have for the Lien Holder?

Different lien holders require different things. Most, simply want to see proof that the car is scheduled for repairs and then will endorse off their name. In some cases the lien holder will ask for photos of the vehicle showing it has been fixed. In these cases we can help by e-mailing photos for you directly to the lien holder.

  • Will the Insurance Company leave the Lien Holder's name off to avoid the hassle?

Yes, most Insurance Companies will leave off the lien holder and include the shop's name as an alternative. Obviously this is more convenient for everyone! If your check is already written in your name and the lien holder's name, most insurance companies are usually glad to reissue a check in your name and the shop's name.

  • Do I have to pay a deductible?

The amount of deductible that you will be responsible for is determined by your insurance policy. Insurance companies determine fault by your account of the accident when you make the claim, and by reviewing the accident report filed with the police department.

If you aren't sure about your deductible, you can call your agent and he can tell you whether your insurance company has waived your deductible or whether you will be responsible to pay this when you pick up your vehicle.

  • Who do I pay my deductible to?

If your deductible is not waived, it will be your responsibility to pay G&M when you pick up your vehicle. If you aren't sure about your deductible, you can call your agent and he can tell you whether your insurance company has waived your deductible or whether it will be your responsibility.

  • What are betterment charges?

Parts that wear out and need replacement with time and use (i.e., tires, batteries, and suspension parts) are commonly subject to betterment charges when they are replaced during the repair process. These betterment charges are determined by your insurance company and are pro-rated based on actual miles on your vehicle.

  • What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept personal checks, cashier's checks, Mastercard, and Visa.

Personal checks are processed through Telecheck, which automatically debits the amount of the check from your checking account and will void and convert your personal check into a receipt that will be given back to you. If you are opposed to your check being accepted this way, please feel free to pay with a cashier's check.
